LEAP STEAM + Medical University School of Carolina
“Preparing Tomorrow’s Healthcare Innovators.”
The Health Sciences high school provides students with a rigorous and immersive pathway into biomedical studies, clinical health fields, and public health careers. Through advanced STEAM+E coursework, students explore anatomy, physiology, biotechnology, medical diagnostics, pharmacology, genetics, epidemiology, and mental health foundations.
High school students engage in laboratory research, clinical simulations, community health projects, and field experiences that build real-world skills and deepen their understanding of how science and healthcare intersect.
Partnerships with universities, hospitals, clinics, and health organizations offer opportunities for mentorship, dual enrollment, job shadowing, and exposure to emerging medical technologies.
The program prepares students for postsecondary pathways in nursing, medicine, medical technology, biomedical research, mental health services, public health, emergency medicine, and allied health professions.
