Who we are

Our Mission Is Fueled By Our Community Partners, Funders, Stakeholders And Colleagues Both Locally And Globally.

LEAP Social Enterprise, Inc. (LSE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charter management organization (CMO) founded to scale the successful model of the LEAP Academy University Charter School.

Based in New Jersey and Puerto Rico, LSE leads the planning, development, and management of public charter schools, early learning centers, and community-based programs that serve thousands of children and families.

Since 2019, LSE has become one of the fastest-growing education organizations in Puerto Rico, collaborating with municipalities, universities, and local industries to uplift communities through high-quality schools.  To date, eight schools have opened, with four more currently in development and a projected network of nineteen schools serving students from early learning through twelfth grade.

Through this expanding network, LSE is redefining what public education can look like — combining academic excellence, family supports, innovation, and community engagement to transform opportunity across the island and beyond.

Our Approach:

LEAP Social Enterprise delivers a holistic, research-based model that supports students from birth through college and into the workforce — while reimagining how schools connect to and strengthen their communities.

1. High-Performing Schools
High-performing schools with a rigorous and engaging bilingual STEAM-focused curriculum, anchored in innovation, inquiry, and active student engagement.

Our academic model is aligned to college and career readiness standards and integrated with the local economy, industry needs, and higher education institutions — ensuring that students graduate prepared to lead, create, and thrive in the modern world.

2. Schools as Community Hubs
Our schools serve as the focal point for community transformation, connecting families to essential supports and opportunities.

Through the Community Hub model, each school integrates family engagement, health and mental health services, and comprehensive wraparound supports designed to strengthen families, improve well-being, and elevate community development. By centering schools as anchors of hope and progress, we create lasting systems of care that empower students and revitalize communities.

3. Teacher & Leadership Pipelines
We are committed to building the next generation of highly skilled educators and school leaders who can sustain excellence and innovation across our network.

Through partnerships with universities and professional development programs, LEAP Social Enterprise provides structured pathways for teachers, counselors, and administrators to grow within the organization — from preparation to certification and leadership roles.  By investing in people, we are developing a sustainable ecosystem of educators and leaders who will drive quality and innovation in every school we serve.

4. Innovation & Technology
Innovation is at the heart of the LEAP model. We integrate cutting-edge technology, applied research, and hands-on learning experiences to ensure that students are not only consumers of knowledge but also creators and problem-solvers.  Our schools feature state-of-the-art learning environments — including makerspaces, fabrication labs, robotics and coding programs, digital media studios, and research labs — that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.

5. Reimagining School Spaces as Community Anchors
We are reimagining and developing new school spaces that reflect the identity, needs, and aspirations of each community.

These environments are designed to serve as a nexus between schools, programs, and local leadership — blending academics, family supports, health services, and workforce development under one shared vision of collective progress. Each new space represents an investment not just in facilities, but in the future of children and communities.
