Welcome to LEAP STEM + Arts: Empowering the Next Generation in Carolina
LEAP STEAM + Arts, a bilingual public school for Kinder to eighth-grade students in Carolina and surrounding areas, is now open and accepting new students onto our waitlist. Offering a curriculum centered on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), our school provides an innovative and free educational experience that prepares students for academic excellence and future professional success.
The school also integrates Fine Arts in its four disciplines: visual arts, theater, music, and dance. Through these disciplines, students will develop creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression while gaining an appreciation for artistic traditions and contemporary innovations. Our arts program fosters collaboration and interdisciplinary learning, encouraging students to apply artistic skills to STEM fields, problem-solving, and personal development.
Located in the urban center of Carolina City, we cater to both high-performing students and those needing differentiated academic attention.
As part of the prestigious LEAP alliance school network, LEAP STEM + Arts is the second school opened by LEAP Social Enterprise in Puerto Rico, following the successful launch of our first school in San Juan in 2021 and the upcoming openings of three additional schools in Cupey, Isabela, and Mayagüez in August 2025. The Early College Program, a hallmark of the LEAP educational model, allows tenth graders to earn up to 30 university credits while completing high school, giving them a significant advantage as they transition to higher education.
In addition to our robust STEM curriculum, our school is deeply committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive school climate, where students are encouraged to explore their interests, develop their talents, and pursue their academic goals with confidence. Enrollment at LEAP STEM + Arts is open, and interested families are encouraged to join our waitlist through our online registration portal. With a capacity for 540 students, we are excited to welcome the next generation of leaders and innovators.

Welcome to LEAP STEAM + Medical and Sciences: Empowering the Next Generation in Carolina
LEAP STEAM + Medical Sciences, a bilingual public school for ninth to twelfth-grade students in Carolina and surrounding areas, is now open and accepting new students onto our waitlist. Offering a curriculum centered on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEAM) + Medical Sciences, the program emphasizes an intense focus on reading and writing, as well as social sciences and humanities.
Our Medical Sciences program provides students with a strong foundation in biomedical sciences, anatomy, physiology, genetics, and healthcare practices. Through lab-based learning, hands-on training, and partnerships with medical professionals, students will gain exposure to real-world medical careers, including nursing, biomedical research, emergency medicine, and public health. The program also emphasizes ethics in medicine, patient care, and technological advancements in the healthcare field, preparing students for further studies and careers in the medical and health sciences industries.

STEAM + Sports and Sciences
Welcome to LEAP STEAM + Sports and Sciences: Empowering the Next Generation in Carolina
LEAP STEAM + Sports Sciences, a bilingual public school for ninth to twelfth-grade students in Carolina and surrounding areas, is now open and accepting new students onto our waitlist. Offering a curriculum centered on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEAM) + Sports Sciences, our school incorporates the concept of sports science to capitalize on creativity, discipline, insight, and problem-solving through the development of sports and their disciplines.
Our Sports Sciences program is designed to enhance students’ understanding of biomechanics, exercise physiology, sports psychology, and nutrition. Through a combination of academic coursework and hands-on experiences, students will gain knowledge on injury prevention, rehabilitation, performance enhancement, and the role of sports in physical and mental well-being. This approach prepares students for careers in athletic training, physical therapy, sports management, and related fields while promoting teamwork, leadership, and resilience.
